My Very Educated Mother is part of a mnemonic device I learned as a child to remember the planets in order from the sun. The complete statement went, My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas. Of course, since Pluto's fall from planet status, kids are left with Nothing...or maybe Noodles?
Now that I’ve explained where my blog name came from here’s a little more about me. I'm Erin, a homeschooling mother of three. When I'm not busy with my little scholars I like to spend my time creating, designing, and well, making things. Art has been a passion since I was an 11-year old girl who dreamed of being a horse artist, that's an artist who specializes in drawing horses.
Because I am a stay-at-home mother, on a limited budget, that means most of my creations involve upcycling, recycling, repurposing, and looking for the creative potential in the ordinary. It’s a fun pastime that I share with my husband and family. We’re those people who get excited about the dresser we find on the side of the road, or the $25 Ethan Allen couch nabbed at the local antique store.
This blog started as a way to share stories, ideas, and inspirations. Hope you enjoy.
Yeah, free stuff! I also got a Bear Naked granola bar but I had that for lunch :) I think I'm going to stash the EOS lip gloss...it'll make a great stocking stuffer!
Hi....oh I do things like that all the time. Like the pop tarts....we ate them before I remembered to take a picture of them for a Target post. Oh well.
Happy Monday....oops after midnight...Happy Tuesday!
